Sci-fi rarity feat. filmmaker visit in Helsinki on Tuesday, October 3, 2023

French auteur Jean Michel Roux arrives to Helsinki on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, to present his first feature THE THOUSAND WONDERS OF THE UNIVERSE (Les mille merveilles de l’univers, France/Canada 1997) to the audience at WHS Teatteri Union.

An acidic mix of the visions of Enki Bilal and Philip K. Dick starring Academy Award nominee Julie Delpy, Tcheky Karyo (Dobermann, La Femme Nikita, Crying Freeman, 007: GoldenEye) and Maria de Medeiros (Pulp Fiction), THE THOUSAND WONDERS OF THE UNIVERSE is a fascinating science fiction adventure epic that has been nearly erased from the history of modern genre film due to its rarity.

Director-screenwriter Jean Michel Roux is presenting the screening in person, and the show will be followed by a Q&A.

The film is projected from a rare 35 mm film print coming to Helsinki from Mr. Roux’s personal collection.

Dialogue in French, subtitles in English.

Further info and tickets to the screening starting on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 07.00 PM: https://teatteriunion.fi/elokuva/the-thousand-wonders-of-the-universe/

As the fabulous lobby bar of the venue serves alcoholic beverages before and during the screening, no one under the age of 18 will be admitted.
