Kaliforniassa varttunut Russ Meyer (1922−2024) taltioi toista maailmansotaa taistelukuvaajana, napsi kotiin palattuaan kuvia Playboyhyn ja siirtyi sitten ohjaamaan seksploitaatioelokuvia. Kulttiohjaajien raskaaseen sarjaan hänet nosti neljän elokuvan ”goottikausi”, jonka päätti Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! John Watersin papereissa kyseessä on kaikkien aikojen paras elokuva – jota parempaa tuskin kukaan kykenee ikinä tekemään.

Tarina on umpikieroa film noiria. Kolme go-go-tanssijaa – Varla (Tura Satana), Rosie (Haji), and Billie (Lorie Williams) – antavat näytteen osaamisestaan ja ajavat rentoutumaan Kalifornian autiomaahan. Paikalle osuu myös tyttöystävälleen Lindalle (Susan Bernard) elvistelevä komistus (Dennis Busch). Varla kyllästyy alfamiehen uhoon ja nöyryyttä tätä radalla. Kun mies ei tyydy kohtaloonsa, Varla tappaa hänet paljain käsin ja kidnappaa Lindan.

Loppunäytös esitetään ränsistyneellä ranchilla, jota asuttavat likainen vanha äijä (Stuart Lancaster) ja hänen kaksi epävakaata poikaansa. Tanssijakolmikon kemiat ovat koetuksella, kun Varla keksii julman juonen, jonka avulla he voisivat paeta pälkähästä rikkaina.

Meyerin pahat naiset olivat niin paljon aikaansa edellä, etteivät kotirouvakulttuurin kasvatit uskaltautuneet teattereihin, ja elokuva floppasi. Pussycatin populaarielokuvan naiskuvalle tekemän täysremontin nostivat jalustalle vasta tulevat sukupolvet.

Elokuvan kirkkaimpana tähtenä loistaa punk-feminismin ruumiillistuma Tura Satana, nainen, joka ei ota taka-askelia. Karatea taitanut Satana suunnitteli myös elokuvan näyttävät tappelukohtaukset.
