In order to get warmed up properly for the April 2024 edition of Night Visions International Film Festival, we provide you with a chance to get a glimpse at the dangers lurking in the vast Australian outback and in the Deep South of the US – all of this in the safe environment of WHS Teatteri Union in Helsinki.
Chris Sun’s immensely enjoyable Boar follows closely in the footsteps of Russell “Highlander” Mulcahy’sozploitation classic Razorback (1983). The fantastic cast of the giant animal horror features a bunch of genre favourites such as Nathan Jones (Conan the Barbarian, Mad Max: Fury Road), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek 1 & 2, Picnic at Hanging Rock) as well as Rob Zombie’s household name and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 star Bill Moseley.
Tobe Hooper’s modern classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, turning 50 years old in 2024, needs no further introduction. The film is now presented in its restored 4k glory and 7.1 sound mix.
