Now here’s an irresistible treat for all lovers of the short film format! Night Visions is proud to present a selection of the absolute freshest Finnish short films relating one way or another to some essential building blocks and genres of Night Visions mentality. According to the filmmakers, this block of shorts showcases raw reality, bold fiction, and above all, the unfiltered Helsinki spirit of underground cinema.

All shorts presented in the festival’s Cult of Euphoria 2025 short film block were completed over the course of approximately three days during a workshop in Helsinki from October 10 to October 12, 2025. The workshop was arranged by a non-profit Euphoria Borealis ry.

The talent behind the shorts is a mixed bag of professional filmmakers and rookies. No previous filmmaking experience was required from the participants. The only requirement set for the participants was the minimum age of 18.

Cult of Euphoria 2025 shorts will be showcased in the Night Visions lineup at Finnkino Kinopalatsi cinema in Helsinki on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The filmmakers will also be attending the screening, presenting their work to the audience in addition to which they’ll be open and available to discuss their audiovisual achievements after the screening.

All films in the short film block include English subtitles unless the dialogue is in English.
