Fabianne Therese stars as Macy, a young woman who is abducted whilst hiking with her partner (played by Sean William Scott). She is taken by a deranged monster-like figure clad in a doll’s mask, who wants to treat Macy as her own doll. As Macy tries to navigate her new situation, she is placed into one nightmare scenario after another. —
[Director Rod] Blackhurst goes hard at capturing the oppression and neverending misery of films such as Martyrs and The Hills Have Eyes
Rounding out the world of Dolly is some solid 16mm cinematography, and well realised make-up effects. — The gore is especially well executed and will induce plenty of squirming, and not just within the squeamish.”
– Kat Hughes / The Hollywood News
