Our regular partner venue WHS Teatteri Union turns 11 this October. Night Visions contributes to the celebration with a double bill that’s a perfect fit for the occasion.
HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER , now presented in its uncut form as a glorious 4k restauration, shocked the entire nation during its initial theatrical run in Finland in the early 1990s. The feature had its longest theatrical lifespan in Finland at Helsinki’s Bio New York, which was located at the current premises of WHS Teatteri Union.
HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER PART II – MASK OF SANITY is a seriously underrated take on its true crime inspired subject. A former business partner of John McNaughton, the director of the first Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Chuck Parello does a fantastic job in the directorial department of this sequel that works perfectly well also as stand-alone horror story.
